Advertising Sales Coordinator, Atlanta magazine

Job Overview
The Advertising Sales Coordinator serves an important role in supporting the various selling activities of the advertising sales team on a local and national level. This position is integral in allowing the sales team to increase efficiency and productivity with the objective of driving and increasing revenue through print and digital advertising sales, sponsorship sales, and custom publishing projects.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee general admin tasks—mailings, catering orders, comp lists, book deliveries, event assistance, and others
  • Manage daily calendars, track sales account executive whereabouts and out-of-office meetings
  • Track sales revenue and update master report weekly
  • Fulfill various client requests and deliver superior customer service
  • Update sales team’s key accounts using sales systems
  • Prospect and cultivate leads into long-term clientele and create/manage prospecting lists
  • Assist in completing RFP’s, proposals, and recaps as assigned by account executives
  • Edit sales collateral and one sheets as needed by account executives
  • Coordinate house advertising accounts & manage assets
  • Track event and sporting ticket trade and coordinate delivery to account executives’ clients
  • Communicate sales collateral needs to marketing team as needed
  • Assist with custom programs and initiatives as it relates to sales
  • Attend, support, and assist with all magazine related events
  • Actively participate in marketing and sales meetings and assist where necessary
  • Manage sales server and Dropbox and keep folders organized and updated

Successful candidates will possess the following skills/abilities:

  • A self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-pace environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, and Dropbox
  • Ability to create and customize high quality sales proposals utilizing PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and other graphic programs
  • Capable of analyzing and understanding sales data and research
  • Have a strong understanding of online inventory and print offerings
  • Proven ability to present and communicate effectively
  • Must be outgoing, organized, efficient, team player, and a strategic thinker
  • Eager to learn and grow in the position
  • Advertising sales, print, and digital knowledge is a plus
  • Keen understanding of Atlanta, the business community and/or the marketing and advertising landscape is a plus

Education/Experience: Must have a college degree, preferably a BA in Marketing, Sales, or Advertising.

Associate Art Director, Atlanta magazine

Job Overview
Atlanta magazine is seeking an Associate Art Director to join our award-winning creative team. Under the guidance of the Design Director, the Associate Art Director is responsible for a broad range of editorial design for our monthly magazine.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Responsible for section layouts and 1-2 features per issue.

– Find ways to tell stories graphically and in unconventional and non-linear ways.

– Assist with managing the art department budget.

– Attend all photo shoots with the photography director.

– Cultivate a deep roster of contributing photographers, illustrators, and graphic artists.

– Attend brainstorming sessions with the entire editorial team, suggesting heds and deks, and coming up with story ideas.

– Other duties and editorial projects as assigned by manager.

Successful candidates will possess the following skills/abilities:

– 3+ years of editorial design experience

– Bachelor’s degree

– Ability to work with a team on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

– Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator required.
